The Pocinho station  is far away, at one of the ends of the national railway network. The Douro line ends there, since 1985, when the section that went from there to Barca de Alva was closed. And it was from there, too, that the Sabor line departed: a narrow road that climbed the plateau of Trás-os-Montes until Duas Igrejas (in Miranda do Douro).
For this reason, the Pocinho complex is now a kind of museum where you can see the former workshops of the Comboios de Portugal, offices, guardrails, and the staff quarter itself.
